Agriculture & Food Security

Crop protection, shelf life, and food-safety research proven with real growers from Arizona to Central America.

A platform born in the field

Agricultural research has been at the center of our program from the beginning. Over a decade of work, PHP37 was taken out of the laboratory and into working farms, packing operations, and export supply chains: the environments where food security is actually won or lost.

Coffee rust: an international problem

In Costa Rica, years before ScienceWorxs was formed, our founder was part of the research team that partnered with an international agricultural cooperative on a year-long field program against coffee rust, the fungus that threatens coffee production worldwide. The trials were independently monitored by third-party testers, and that program remains one of the strongest demonstrations of what this platform can do for a crop under real-world pressure.

Produce shelf life at export scale

Working with the largest grower-importer of melons in the United States and the largest melon exporter in Honduras, our research targeted the millions of pounds of produce lost to spoilage each year. Field programs in Casa Grande, Arizona extended testing to melons, lettuce, peppers, and tomatoes, including feasibility work on replacing chlorine in packing workflows.

Seed treatment and what comes next

Seed treatment is a natural next chapter for the platform. The ideal seed program needs broad-spectrum performance at very low concentrations, gentleness on the seed and seedling, and polymer-based delivery. That is the exact profile PHP37 was engineered for. As registrations are secured, these application lines are positioned to be licensed and developed with growers, packers, and processors.
